SUMMARY:Foraging Fun!
DESCRIPTION:Join Chick of the Woods for a day of foraging fun! We will being with a discussion and hands-on learning about fall mushroom identification. Then we will walk the Wood Lake trails (up to 1.5 miles of walking on flat trails)\, foraging for fungi while learning how to identify trees that are associated with fall mushrooms. This will be a beginner level class\, and no experience is necessary. It is not guaranteed we will find any mushrooms\, but we will learn how to find and identify them. We will split any mushrooms we find with the group. \nPlease note that foraging is not normally allowed in this par\, but you will be allowed to pick mushrooms for this event. $59 per person; registration required at www.woodlakenaturecenter.org.
