SUMMARY:Fall Foraging Fun
DESCRIPTION:Join Chick of the Woods for a day of foraging fun! We will begin with a discussion and hands-on learning about fall mushroom identification. After our discussion\, we will walk the trails (up to 1.5 miles) foraging for fungi while learning how to identify trees that are associated with fall mushrooms. This will be a beginner level class. It is not guaranteed we will find any mushrooms\, but we will learn HOW to find and identify them. Any mushrooms found will be shared with the group. (Please note that foraging is not allowed at Wood Lake Nature Center outside of this class.) Registration required at www.woodlakenaturecenter.org. $59.00 per person.
