DESCRIPTION:In early September\, the gardens are buzzing with butterflies and bees. This is typically the best time of year to photograph the monarch butterfly! Join professional photographer Don Tredinnick at Wood Lake Nature Center and learn tips and techniques for capturing images of these amazing insects. We will begin with a short introduction prior to heading down the trails. At each stop\, there will be suggestions and assistance with setting up shots. Everyone will get time to experiment at each stop. \nThis program is open to photographers of all ability levels. DESCRIPTION:Join Chick of the Woods for a day of foraging fun! We will begin with a discussion and hands-on learning about fall mushroom identification. After our discussion\, we will walk the trails (up to 1.5 miles) foraging for fungi while learning how to identify trees that are associated with fall mushrooms. This will be a beginner level class. It is not guaranteed we will find any mushrooms\, but we will learn HOW to find and identify them. Any mushrooms found will be shared with the group.
