Wood Lake Nature Center
Wood Lake Nature Center is a 150-acre natural area dedicated to environmental education, wildlife observation, and outdoor recreation. Wood Lake staff offices at the 4,000 square-foot main building, which features many educational exhibits. The park features several wildlife viewing areas, a 100-seat amphitheater, a picnic ground, and three miles of trails and boardwalks. Wood Lake has over two miles of crushed limestone walking trails, floating boardwalk, and groomed cross-country ski trails (weather-permitting). The trails wind through three different habitats: cattail marsh, mixed lowland forest, and restored prairie.
Veterans Memorial Park
Veterans Memorial Park is home to many events throughout the year, including the 4th of July celebration, Urban Wildland Half Marathon & 5K and the Richfield Farmers Market. It also boasts the largest playground facility and picnic pavilion in Richfield. The outdoor pool is perfect for cooling off in the summer. Veterans Memorial Park also has an ice arena, Adventure Gardens, Mini-Golf and Malt Shop all for affordable prices.
