Book Launch: The Rock in My Throat by Kao Kalia Yang

Join local Minnesota author Kao Kalia Yang for the launch of her newest book, The Rock in My Throat. In this moving true story, Yang shares her experiences as a young Hmong refugee in the United States, navigating two cultures and two languages. She sees what happens as her parents enter the English-speaking world and are met with rudeness and disrespect. And in a silent act of rebellion, Kalia stops speaking at school.
