Each year, 40 million people from around the world visit the Mall of America. Here’s how you can make a long weekend of it.

Friday Night: Swing by the Mall of America and check out a movie on the big screen at its B&B Theaters, located on the 4th floor of MOA. After the show, travel just a few minutes to nearby Richfield and stay in one of our comfortable hotels.

Saturday Morning/Afternoon: Sleep in—but not too late! You’ll want to swing by Patrick’s Bakery and pick up pastries and coffee for the day ahead—because it’s going to be filled with shopping!

Head to the Mall for a full-day of shopping and entertainment. If you can’t find what you’re looking for in one of the Mall’s 500+ stores, you probably don’t need it! From clothing and accessories, to housewares, tech and toys you’ll have plenty of choices.

In the afternoon, take a break from shopping to play at Nickelodeon Universe—the nation’s largest indoor theme park. Thrill-seekers can ride Spongebob Squarepants Rock Bottom Plunge, while younger park-goers can try Swiper’s Sweeper and Backyardigans Swing-A-Long.

One last piece of advice: Wear comfortable shoes. Walking just one of the mall’s four levels covers over a mile!

See our full Richfield dining guide for a full range of options.

Sunday morning/afternoon: Start off your morning with coffee at nearby Dunkin Donuts right off Penn Ave. and a leisurely walk around Wood Lake Nature Center—the perfect start to Sunday! From there, it’s back to the Mall!

Finish up your shopping and visit the Sea Life Minnesota Aquarium, the state’s largest aquarium! Here you can walk the 300-foot-long ocean tunnel and get up-close-and-personal with stingrays at Ray Lagoon. After that, wrap up your MOA weekend with a quick round of mini-golf at Rock of Ages Blacklight Minigolf. A perfect MOA getaway!
